We are BeeTogether, a group of five young and driven entrepreneurs. Our goals is to deliver social impact in Tanzania by helping beekeepers, their bees and promoting the preservation of the Tanzanian nature.

This website provides information about who we are, where we are a part of and what we exactly do. Anyone's help is welcome to further increase our impact and to create a self sustainable and durable community in Mzumbe, Tanzania. Our mission
Our goal is to create six economically viable and sustainable beekeeper groups and simultaneously start a collaboration between these groups which offers them financial security. This also provides the opportunity for future groups to participate in the project. To accomplish this mission, we focus on three sub-areas:

Transference of knowledge and tools to groups.

Construction of a joint collection house for storing, processing and selling honey. This is an essential element for the start of a collaboration between the groups.

Development of 'value-added products' such as candles, sweets of honey and body lotion​.

Specifically, there are five students, two coaches and a whole organization known as AFD located behind the scences of BeeTogether. (For more information on AFD or our team, click here.) Throughout the academic year we prepare this initiative as a team, in close collaboration with our partners. During the summer we will be in Tanzania for six weeks to translate all these plans into reality. A lot more about our mission and strategy can be found here.
Since beekeeping is not only about having the right knowledge, but also requires a base of material, we launch a crowdfunding campaign to ensure that our six groups have the appropriate amount of materials to succeed in beekeeping.

All the money that is collected through this campaign goes to the beekeepers themselves and to the materials needed. Depending on the amount you sponsor (or your group of friends/family), you get a reward that is connected to what exactly happened with your donation.
Based on the needs of the groups and the anticipated cost, the goal of the campaign is to raise an amount of 5000 euro. This together with the 8000€ that the province Vlaams-Brabant sponsored us, will enable us to have a big impact.
